Breakfast, After-School and other Clubs at Lionwood Junior

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club is for children from Lionwood Junior only (Lionwood Infant run a separate Breakfast Club).  

It runs from 8.00am to 8.40am during term time at a cost of £2.00 pers session.

Staffing:
The Club is run by Mrs Elke Rose who is also a Teaching Assistant in the school.  Mrs Rose holds Food Hygiene Certification.

She is supported by Breakfast Club workers.

We have 30 places available.

Places are booked and paid for online through through Parentmail.

Food 
We provide a range breakfast cereals and toast.

After-School Club

Our After-School Club is for children from Lionwood Junior and Infant Schools.  The club runs every day after school until 6pm at a cost of £7.00 per session.

The Club is based at Lionwood Junior School and children from Lionwood Infant School walk down after the end of their school day accompanied by Infant School staff. 

Staffing:
The Club is run by Mrs Glenda Prior who is the Parent Support Advisor across both schools.  Mrs Prior is a Designated Safeguarding Lead and holds Food Hygiene Certification.

She is supported by After School Club workers.

We have 30 places available.

Food 
We provide a range of cold food for the children at the club.
The menu changes weekly and includes:
Fruit and vegetables 
Sandwiches, crumpets, sweet waffles, crackers, croissants or brioche and  pitta breads – with a range of sweet and savoury fillings

Activities
Outdoor and indoor games, arts and crafts, ipad time, board games, dressing up and role play.

Other Clubs

At lionwood Junior we also offer additional clubs after school including sports and arts clubs.  Some past clubs have included: Digital leaders, Science Club, Bullet Journal Blub, Art Club, Eco Club as well as Sports clubs funded through Sports Premium.  We always provide most clubs free of charge.  The clubs run until 4.15pm.

More details of the clubs on offer are available from the School Office – all parents are notified at the beginning of the term so they can request places.

Music Lessons

Children can receive group Music Tuition during the School Day with ‘Rockify’.  This is a charged service.
