LJS COVID-19 RELATED NEWS (UPDATED DAILY)

On this page you can find out which Year Groups have children with symptoms of COVID-19 (not CONFIRMED CASES) as well as other information to support parents in knowing what to do in the case of their child or others having symptoms etc.

CURRENTLY WE HAVE PUPILS, FAMILY MEMBERS AND/OR STAFF ISOLATING (another member of the household has symptoms) in:

Year 4
Year 6

If we have a CONFIRMED case we will contact parents immediately by text and email with details of what to do next.

Below is the information about what parents should do in different scenarios, including when to self isolate, how to get a test etc.

Please note that the symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to those of colds, flu and other viruses and diseases, so that many people will have symptoms without having COVID-19.

All people with symptoms and members of their households are told to self-isolate and have tests as advised by government guidance.  NOBODY should come to school with symptoms.

Sometimes it is hard to know whether the symptoms are C19 symptoms and therefore whether you need to get a test.  This site maybe useful in helping you decide what to do:

NHS ADVICE – COVID 19

Please be  aware that currently the demand for tests is huge and the capacity for testing is very pressured.  Many people are finding it extremely difficult to get tests and the results may take several days to come through.
